Road Closing November 14-28, 2011

Cove Creek Road at Mt Sterling Gap, in Great Smoky Mountains National Park, will be closed in November due to bridge repairs. It will be open to local traffic only, tentatively, from Nov. 14 - 28, 2011. There will be no traffic allowed on the Cataloochee side of the Gap at the gate past the Cataloochee bypass.

This closure will preclude beginning a hike on Mt Sterling, Long Bunk, or Little Cataloochee Trails at the trailheads on Cove Creek Road.
